Outline of Research at the Start	2022年2月のロシアによるウクライナ侵攻を受け国際秩序が動揺し西側同盟国の結束が問われる中、変容する国際秩序においてドイツと日本が果たすべき責任や、両国関係の重要性はますます大きくなっている。本研究では、冷戦時代の国際秩序においてアメリカの指導力に疑問が呈されていた時期の日独関係について、①ブラント政権期の二国間関係、②同政権期の多国間関係、③シュミット期の二国間関係、④同政権期の多国間関係、⑤国内政治との相互作用、の五つのレベルから、未刊行史料を含む新たな調査に基づき実証的に分析する。
