Outline of Research at the Start

産業構造変化は近年新しい展開を見せ，スキル集約的産業ほど成長している．この新展開は20世紀の産業構造変化にも通底するエンゲル法則から捉えることができることがマクロ経済研究で明らかにされている．一方，都市経済学は，スキル集約的産業における人的資本の都市集積の重要性を報告している．そこで，本研究は，人的資本の都市集積の視点から産業構造変化の理解を深める．日米の地域データに併せて定量的な空間経済の動学モデルを構築し，人的資本の都市集積と産業構造変化の相互作用を明らかにする．本研究が達成されれば，構造変化要因を踏まえたplace-basedな経済政策の新しい指針を提示することができる．
