Outline of Research at the Start

1990年代以降，インターネット技術の普及とともに，SNSやソーシャルメディアが不可欠なコミュニケーションツールとなった．この技術革新は，情報収集の利便性を飛躍的に向上させた一方で，ヘイトスピーチやデマの拡散などの問題も生じさせてきている．
本研究の目的は，日本最大の質問・回答（Q&A）サイトであるYahoo!知恵袋のデータ，特に匿名性の強化という制度変更（自然実験）を利用して，匿名性の強化が差別的言動をどう変化させたかを検証することにある．
こうした自然実験の結果分析は国内外でも稀であることから，本研究は学術的意義を有するのみならず，オンライン社会における規制政策への含意も大きいと確信する．
