Outline of Research at the Start

世代間で引き継がれる貧困や格差は、生育環境といった外的要因だけではなく、子どもの健康を通じても連鎖し、増幅していく可能性が既存研究から示唆されており、それは当人の厚生だけではなく、社会経済へも大きな影響を及ぼす。貧困連鎖に有効な政策として乳幼児期の保育介入が提唱されているが、広範な保育政策の子どもの健康への影響や将来に渡る効果は十分には解明されていない。本研究ではコホートデータを用い、広範な保育政策の子どもの身体的・精神的健康への影響を検証し、こうした政策が、貧困の世代間連鎖の断ち切り・健康格差の改善・子どもの将来の潜在能力及び厚生向上に対し有効かを実証的に検証する。
