Outline of Research at the Start

電力、都市ガス、電気通信等のインフラ産業は、大口需要家・小口需要家という２種類の需要家に財サービスを提供している。本研究では、市場融合・競争環境が進展するインフラ産業における多様な需要家特性に着目し、それが企業戦略や規制・競争政策に与える効果を理論モデルによって分析する。多様な需要家特性を考慮した際の企業の（料金設定などの）短期戦略や（設備投資、企業間提携、参入・退出などの）長期戦略を分析し、そのもとでの規制・競争政策を考察する。多様な需要家特性、企業戦略、規制・競争政策の三つ巴の相互作用の結果生じる均衡の特性と、その均衡の経済厚生評価を通じて望ましい規制・競争政策の在り方を考察する。
