世界中で再生可能エネルギーの導入が進められる中、発電に必要な費用がゼロに近く、発電量の変動が大きい太陽光発電が卸電力市場で取引される電力価格に与える影響の研究は定性的なものにとどまっている。
本研究は、卸電力市場における電力の需要と供給の関係を表す構造モデルを用いて、太陽光発電が電力価格やその変動性に及ぼす影響を定量的に明らかにする。さらに、地域による太陽光発電の発電特性の違いや蓄電デバイスの導入が、電力価格やその変動性に及ぼす影響を分析する。
