Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は各植民地における国有鉄道や国策鉄道の重要性を認めつつ、日本支配下で施された政府の政策的介入と民間鉄道資本の形成に注目し、比較史を志向するものである。本研究を通じては次のような研究成果が得られると考えられる。
１）日本内地はもとより、台湾、朝鮮、樺太との比較から検出できる日本帝国圏私設鉄道・地方鉄道の実態の解明
２）日本内地の民間投資を通じて台湾や韓国に移転されてインフラストラクチャーの育成を促し、さらに東アジアへ広がていく鉄道技術移転の歴史像
３）戦前日本の地方鉄道を座標軸として台湾、朝鮮、樺太といった諸植民地に適用され、後には満州にも現地化された政策的介入の比較史的相違性
