Outline of Research at the Start

近年、世界的にスタートアップ企業が大都市の特定の地域に集積することが観察されている。その集積をもたらす主たる理由として対面形式のコミュニケーションに基づく知識のスピルオーバー効果が挙げられている。本研究では対面での接触の機会が大きく制限された新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大期においてスタートアップ企業の立地戦略がどのように変化したのかに着目する。とりわけ本研究の特色は、従来の都市レベルの研究よりも微細な「丁目・番地」レベルでその影響を解析することにある。本研究を通じて学術貢献はもとより、ポストコロナ時代におけるスタートアップ・エコシステム形成に向けた実践的な含意も期待できる。
