Outline of Research at the Start	企業が持続的に成長を成し遂げる上で、多角化はひとつの重要な手段である。実際に多くの企業が多角化しており、経営学において多角化企業の競争力の源泉をさぐることは重要な研究テーマである。この点に関して近年注目を集めているのがInter-temporal scope economies（異時点で生じる範囲の経済性）であり、その手段としての組織内部での「資源の再配置」である。本研究では、日本の半導体メーカーによる事業撤退が引き起こした研究開発人材の再配置に着目し、それが当該発明者の生産性、企業のパフォーマンス、広く日本の産業に与えた影響について、日本の特許データを用いて明らかにする。
