Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、これまでオランダ東インド会社（VOC）研究において「空白地帯」となっていた「活動期後半における嗜好品貿易の実態」を詳細に分析し、VOCの活動の全貌（とりわけ衰亡の原因）を会計学的視点から論証することにある。
具体的には、現地調査・資料収集、そして、国際研究集会の開催を通して、VOC発生と盛衰のプロセスをたどることで同社会計システムの成立過程、後代の複式簿記への影響も含めた会計史的意義、組織の自壊につながった点について知見を得ることを目的としており、史観と会計の融合という本研究の独自性を示すことができる。
