Outline of Research at the Start

通常、女性の自殺率は、どの国においても男性の自殺率よりも低いが、中国は、世界で唯一、女性の自殺率が男性よりも高い国として知られてきた。ところが2000年以降、中国の自殺率は男女ともに低下し、また男性自殺率が女性のそれを上回り、その差がひらく傾向が見られる。女性の自殺は、婚姻や家族関係との関わりが強いことを過去の諸研究は明らかにしてきているが、中国の女性の自殺と婚姻や家族との関わりを見る研究は少ない。本研究は、中国と、国際的に見て女性の自殺が多いとされる日本において、同一のアンケート調査と分析を行い、女性の自殺問題の所在を、婚姻や家族の見地から実証的に明らかにする。
