Outline of Research at the Start	東日本大震災の被災地においては農業構造が変化している。農地の大区画化や農業経営体の質的転換が進み、小規模農が周縁化している。そのような状況下で、被災地の多くの小農が離農の選択を迫られている。彼・彼女らは、いかに営農を存続させているのだろうか。小農は地域に寄与する非経済的な機能を持ち、生活復興の観点からも重要である。本研究では、被災地域における小農の「存続戦略」と「地域包摂的な農業実践」をキーコンセプトとして、小農がどのように農を継続し、地域住民の生活復興や持続可能性にいかに寄与しているかを実証的に明らかにし、農村社会学や震災研究の新たな方向性を模索する。
