発達障害をもつ児童・生徒が学校で「他者」や「社会」について何をどのように学んできたのか、その教育を当事者やその家族・支援者がどのように経験してきたのか、これら２点を明らかにするために、発達障害をもつ児童・生徒の「カモフラージュ」経験のありさまを解明する理論的研究、および教育実践にかかわる言説、その実践を規定している諸学知の言説、発達障害をもつ児童・生徒とその家族・支援者等の当事者が産み出した言説に関して整理・分析する経験的研究を行なう。理論的研究と経験的研究の双方を踏まえて、最終的にはとりわけ学校教育における「ニューロダイバーシティ」の現状と課題を明らかにすることを目指す。
