Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、家事および育児時間の経年変化とその規定要因について、ジェンダーと社会階層との関連に着目して検討する。1990年代から2010年代にかけての家事および育児に費やす時間量の変化に加えて、育児時間については、他の生活時間（家事・仕事・娯楽等）との関連、同時的におこなわれる他の活動にも着目する。これらがジェンダーと社会階層によってどのような差異をみせるかを分析することによって、時間配分のメカニズムのジェンダー間、階層間の差異とその変動を考察する。こうした作業を通して、家事および育児時間の経年変化が日本社会の構造的・人口学的・文化的変動とどのように関連しているかを明らかにする。
