Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、拠点都市圏から離れた地域の若者の現実に注目することを手掛かりに、人口減少が進む日本の地域的な公共性のあり方を社会学的に検討することを目指すものである。人口減少にともなう地域社会のスポンジ化が進んでいるが、それは社会の衰退を意味するだけではなく、IT化や移動の広域化を背景にして、Uターンや転入者を中心に新しいライフスタイルや公共性が創出される可能性の広がりと考えることもできる。地域移動、労働、家族、公共空間といった諸側面について、この問題を検討する。京都府京丹後市におけるフィールドワークやインタビューを中心に、全国ウェブ調査も実施し、この問題について一般的な知見を得る。
