Outline of Research at the Start	団塊世代の「介護負担回避意識」は、日本の伝統的なイエ制度や、ライフエンディング期の介護費用、労力、精神的ストレス、価値観、宗教観、医療介護制度など、さまざまな要因によって形成されている。近代以降、責任感と家族愛をもって介護を担ってきた団塊高齢者は、今度は介護の受け手として、自らのライフエンディング期とどう向き合っているか。日米の団塊世代の介護経験者がもつ、家族や社会の負担になりたくない、迷惑をかけたくないという言説を手掛かりに、本研究では、日米の団塊世代の介護経験者を対象に、質的アプローチによる比較分析を行い、両国の介護負担回避意識の共通点と相違点を明らかにする。
