Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、多民族・多文化社会において、定住が長期化したミドルクラス移民の地域社会統合の過程とそこで生じている課題について、オーストラリア・シドニーの日系コミュニティを対象とした計量調査及び個別インタビュー調査を実施・分析し、ミドルクラス移民の社会的包摂に向けた新たな多文化ソーシャルワーク実践モデルを構築することである。さらに日本国内のミドルクラスを背景に持つ外国出身定住者の長期的な定住により生じる社会福祉の課題に対し、支援モデル構築に寄与できる。
