口の機能の些細な低下を呈するオーラルフレイルは嚥下障害へ移行を防止する上では重要とされている。フレイル高齢者に対しては、地域包括ケアセンターやデイサービス等にて介護予防プログラムが実施されているが、地域高齢者における嚥下機能と発話機能や発話習慣との関連性はほとんど示されていない。そこで今回我々は、地域高齢者に対し、これまでに見出した唾液によるサブスタンスPと、口腔乾燥（湿潤）度、呼吸発声機能、会話状態との関連を介入実験によりさらに分析し、その結果を基にして作成したオーラルフレイル予防・改善プログラムの実践と啓発を行うことによって、地域高齢者のQOL拡大に貢献することを目指すこととした。
