Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、①小規模学校に関する日英の先行研究等のシステマティックレビューを通して論点整理を行い、②国内調査、③海外調査において小規模学校の効果的な学校経営に取り組んでいる実践に関するケーススタディと関係者への実践に関する半構造化インタビューを行う。そして、①効果的な教育活動の視点として教材開発と研修、②効果的な学校経営の視点として学校管理職の育成、③効果的な教育ガバナンスの視点としてコーディネート機能という3つの視点から小規模学校の学校経営機能を強化し、効果的な学校経営を行うための手法を開発すると共に、それを実現するための教育ガバナンスの在り方を考察する。
