Outline of Research at the Start

本研究がその教育史的意義を強調する「丁酉倫理会」は、倫理問題の研究を踏まえた講演活動や出版などをつうじて「人格主義」を標榜しながら倫理運動を行った団体である。1900年から1949年にかけ、ほぼ毎月のペースで発行された機関誌『丁酉倫理会倫理講演集』は、学校教育実践や教育行政に大きな影響を与えた論者が中心的役割を果たして編集されていたが、積極的に「女性の人格」を主題とするなど、時代的に特異な存在であった。本研究は、創刊から廃刊までの全548冊を主たる調査対象として、「人格」という日本語が、いつ、誰によって、どのような概念として理解・表出・表現されていたかの歴史的事実を整理し、理由も明らかにする。
