Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、高度成長期（1950年代後半～1970年代前半）の公団住宅とその立地する自治体の社会教育行政を対象として、以下の通り歴史的分析・考察を行う。 ①前提的検討として、団地住民の学習活動に対する当時の関係者の認識を分析する。その上で②事例調査として、団地住民の学習活動の具体的な展開とそれに対する社会教育行政の支援の実態について、団地とその立地する自治体の事例を複数選定して分析する。以上を踏まえ、③総括的考察として、事例間の共通性と偏差を整理・検討し、それらを規定する背景要因を考察した上で、今日の都市部における社会教育行政の役割に関する実践的示唆を検討する。
