Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、ケニアの新教育制度下において、これまで公教育を下支えしてきた低学費私立学校の役割の変化と将来展望について検討することを目的としている。この教育改革は、制度およびカリキュラムの変更を同時に行うもので、2018年に初等学校低学年から開始された。研究の方法は、フィールド調査を基礎とする事例研究を中心とするが、電子メールやSNSにより、現地で働く教師から、年間を通じて、教師の仕事や生徒の様子、日常の教育に関わる情報などを収集する。このような方法を採用することが本研究の独自性と創造性であり、現地の人々（教師や生徒、保護者など）の視点から教育のあり方を考察することが容易となる。
