Outline of Research at the Start	先進諸国では、高等教育の発展や産業の高度化に伴って学部教育に加え大学院教育が拡充してきているが、知識基盤社会が進展する中で、近年、これまで世界の高等教育システムのなかで「周辺」に位置づけられてきた発展途上の国・地域においても、大学院教育の拡充が進んでいる。社会経済の発展段階の異なる国々で大学院教育はどのように発展していくのか、その際に大学院の役割、性格、課題はどのように変化していくのかという学術的問いに答えるために、本研究では、東南アジア地域の複数の発展途上国を事例に大学院教育の現状と今後の方向性を分析し、それらを比較研究することを通じて、東南アジアにおける大学院の発展のモデルの検討を行う。
