Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、保育における保護者の民主的な参画の在り方と、その条件を解明することを目的とする。そのために、ノルウェー、スウェーデン、デンマークの多様な運営形態の保育施設における保護者参画の事例を比較分析する。北欧諸国は保育を民主的な社会の基盤として位置づけ、保護者の協働を重視するソーシャルペダゴジーの伝統をもつが、近年、新自由主義的政策や保育の「商品化」の影響を受けており、企業立の施設が進出する「準市場化」が起きている。3か国の公立・私立の多様な施設における保護者参画の事例を、各国の相違を加味して比較することによって、多様な保護者参画の在り方とその変容を描出し、民主的な参画の条件を明らかにする。
