Outline of Research at the Start

「子どもの食の問題」に対し、歯科領域においては障害児の摂食機能障害や、歯科矯正に関わるMFTなどの介入が専門的に行われているが、2018年に「口腔機能発達不全症」が新規病名として導入され、定型発達の乳幼児の口腔機能管理へのかかわりが新たに始まっている。しかし、定型発達の乳幼児がなぜ口腔機能発達不全症の病態を示すのか不明のままである。そこで本研究では、①原因となる個人あるいは環境因子を明確にすること②症状を改善するための早期発見と正しい機能評価・適切な管理指導の必要性③こどもの口腔機能発達の重要性を示し、対応方法及び予防のための指針を歯科医療従事者の立場から社会に明示することを目的とする。
