Outline of Research at the Start

自閉症スペクトラムなどの発達障害児は口腔機能発達不全症を抱えている割合が定型児に比べて多い。高齢者においては姿勢や全身の筋力や敏捷性、柔軟性などの全身機能は口腔機能と相互に関連しているといわれているが、小児に関しての研究は十分に進んでいない。発達障害児においては全身筋力や協調性の問題も抱えていることが多いために、口腔機能発達不全症には全身機能の未発達も関連している可能性がある。本研究は、超音波診断装置を用いた舌、口腔周囲筋の評価と全身機能の関連を明らかにするとともに、口腔機能発達不全症に対する全身機能へのアプローチの重要性を示すことを目的とする。
