Outline of Research at the Start

北欧諸国をはじめとする国外の保育実践では、基礎的な科学や数学を学習する環境として日常的に自然や屋外環境が活用されている。一方、国内においては非認知能力の向上に関心が集まるものの、優れた学習環境としての自然の認識や保育活動へのアプローチ方法は発展途上と言える。
そこで本研究はSTEAM教育に着目し、国内外の保育実践における自然素材および活動事例を収集し、関連する保育者養成カリキュラムや保育者研修の実態を調査する。さらに、教育効果の分析及びアプローチ方法を検討し、保育者研修等による実証を行うことで、STEAM教育の視点から幼児期の探究心を育む豊かな学習環境としての自然素材および保育活動を体系化する。
