Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、自立した読み手を育てるための効果的な方法について、アメリカの英語科における読みの指導法を参考にしながら、国語科における実践を通して検証することである。アメリカの英語科では、国語科で馴染みがない読みの指導法が様々に開発されている。これらの読みの指導法を用いた授業を観察して、個々の教師がこれらの指導法をなぜ、どう用いているのかを明らかにした上で、国語科教師と協力して、自立した読み手を育てる効果的な指導法を検証する。児童生徒に読解力をつける社会的期待が高まる中、国語科教育学内の論理だけでなく、外国の母語教育の実践・研究を踏まえてより良い読みの指導を検討する点に本研究の意義がある。
