Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、日米の国際比較研究の観点から「大学の公共性に対する意識」と「大学への寄付行動」との関係性を解明することにある。大学と寄付をめぐる問題は、大学の教育研究活動の公共的価値を当該社会の国民がどの程度認めているかという問題や、公共的価値のあるものに寄付をするという行為に対する国民意識と密接に関わるものである。本研究では、「大学の公共性に対する人々の意識」と「大学への寄付行動」に着目し、その相互の影響関係を日米の国際比較調査から明らかにする。
