Outline of Research at the Start

インターネット望遠鏡とは、遠隔地に設置した無人の望遠鏡をインターネットを通して操作し、天体観測を行うための装置とシステムである。
本研究の目的は、インターネット望遠鏡ネットワークを拡充して、本当に「いつでも・だれでも・どこでも天体観測」ができる環境を構築し、インターネット望遠鏡を使った観測テーマの指導案を集めたITP課題バンクの活用の促進によって、小学校・中学校・高校の 「理数教育の充実」に役立てるものである。
そのために「様々な望遠鏡機器に対応したインターネット望遠鏡の新システムの改良」「クライアントベースの新トレーニングモードの開発」「ITP データバンクと分析ツールの開発」に取り組む。
