Outline of Research at the Start

本申請研究では、生活の身近にある地質学的事象を対象とした市民科学を通して、地域の地質学的背景の理解や岩石・鉱物の同定能力を高め、ひいては市民の地質学リテラシーの向上を目指す。具体的な対象として、古い集落の路傍にある「いけず石」の分布と岩石種の調査および「砂浜の砂」の資料収集活動と鉱物同定を市民に参画してもらい、岩石・鉱物とそれに関係した地域地質についての理解を深めることを目標とする。
