Outline of Research at the Start	人の意識は顕在レベルと潜在レベルの2種類がある。顕在レベルの意識とは日常生活の中で経験する意識であり、意識していることに対する気付きがある。潜在レベルの意識とは、確かにその意識過程が存在しているのだが、自ら振り返りや自覚ができない、いわば無意識と呼べるものである。数こそ少ないものの、心理学では近年潜在レベルの意識が有するメカニズムを明らかにしようとする研究が現れてきている。本研究もその1つである。本研究ではさまざまな社会的相互作用を表す動画情報を閾下提示するという手法を用いて、潜在意識の社会性理解の可能性を実験的に明らかにすることを試みる。
