Outline of Research at the Start

我が国全体の高齢化に伴い、知的障がい者も長寿化しており、年を重ねた親や家族による日常生活の介助や支援に対する身体的・心理的負担の増大が懸念されている。そのため本研究では、知的障がい者家族を対象に調査を実施し、加齢に伴う身体的変化、心理的・社会的状況、及び家族が求める知的障がい者の老年期の在り方や将来に抱く不安や憂慮などを明らかにし、知的障がい者家族の高齢化に関する総合的な心理社会的支援モデルについて検討することを目的とする。このような研究は、様々な人がともに支えあう共生社会実現への一助を担うものと考える。
