Outline of Research at the Start

語彙力の低い児童が読書を避けることで，さらに語彙の発達を遅らせる「マタイ効果」が確認されており，語彙力の低い児童には自らの語彙力とつりあった「選書」ができない何らかの理由があると推察される。本研究では，学校図書館の貸出記録の分析（研究①）と教師・児童へのインタビュー（研究②）から，語彙力の低い児童における語彙力と選書の不一致の実態と原因を明らかにする。その上で不一致を解消する選書介入実験を行い，語彙力の低い児童における読書による語彙力向上効果を検証する（研究③）。研究①～③により，マタイ効果の負の影響を避け，日本児童の語彙力の底上げにつながる方法論の確立を目指す。
