Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では北米、香港、日本の大学生を対象に調査を実施し、東アジア文化圏でみられる低い自尊感情や主観的幸福感について、文化的背景に結びついた回答スタイル（response style）や謙遜傾向による歪みの影響がどの程度あるのか、それらの歪みを除いた後でも自尊感情や主観的幸福感に文化差がみられるかを実証的に検討する。調査結果などのエビデンスをもとに諸政策を立案していくとすれば、こうした調査方法の改善の検討は不可欠であり、謙遜傾向が統制変数として有効であることが示されれば、今後の文化比較調査の方法における改善案を提示できる。
