Outline of Research at the Start	心理学研究に用いられる統計解析手法は高度化しており，各研究者がそれらを適切に使用した研究を行うための知見や方法の整備が望まれる。本研究では，構造方程式モデリングを中心に，自由度の高い統計モデリングの手法を適切に使用するための評価方法として，コンピューター上でのシミュレーション研究の手法を集約し，さらにそれを統計ユーザーとしての研究者が自身の研究に適用できるよう，ソフトウェアとドキュメントの蓄積を行う。評価の観点として，サンプルサイズ設計，測定変数の選択および設定方法，分析モデル間の識別性，データ収集後のモデルの探索的修正の影響，等を扱う。
