Outline of Research at the Start

有理数係数の多項式で表される関係式で結び付けられない多数の複素数を明示的な形で得ることは容易ではない。そのような複素数たちは代数的独立である、と言われ、それらの各々は超越数である。本研究の目的は、代数的独立な無限個の超越数の実例を最も効率良く作り出せる関数を構成し、それを関数の一般化である写像にまで拡張することである。そのための第一歩は、一つの関数であって、その定義域内にあるすべての代数的数における値の中で、等しい値になるものを一つの要素として纏めて得られる集合が代数的独立となる、という著しい性質をもつ関数を構成することである。
