Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、国際共同研究と国際研究交流を通して、ジャイロイド構造とソフトマター準結晶という複雑なソフトマター構造について、ソフトマターとハードマター、数学、物理、化学、生物、工学という異なる研究分野を横断する分野融合的発想のもとに研究を遂行し、マルチスケールなジャイロイドと準結晶の普遍性を探究する。同時に国際シンポジウムを開催し、ジャイロイド科学の豊かさを広げることを目標としている。
