Outline of Research at the Start	海洋重力波は主に大気運動を外力として発生するため、その長期変動を理解する事は気候変動を理解する上でも重要である。しかし、2000年代以前の海洋重力波は直接観測例が少ないため、数10年スケールの海洋重力波の長期変動を押さえることは難しい。近年の常時地球自由振動研究の進展は、地震学的な観測から過去の海洋重力波の活動を復元できる可能性を示唆している。本研究では、広帯域地震計記録から海洋重力波活動を推定する手法を開発し、過去30-40年に遡ってその活動を明らかにすることを目的とする。併せて、2022年トンガのフンガ火山噴火時に観測された海洋重力波に類した、未知の海底火山噴火現象等の検出も目指す。
