Outline of Research at the Start

女性の社会進出や男性の育児参加促進を母乳育児推進の観点から進めるためには、育児サポートツールの整備が必要である。しかし、ユニセフとWHOは、母乳育児での哺乳瓶乳首の併用を勧めていない。これは、母親の乳首と哺乳瓶乳首の乳汁が搾出される構造が異なるためである。また、市販の搾乳機においても、機構が乳児の「吸い方（吸啜：きゅうてつ）」における舌の動きと異なるため、搾乳時に母体に苦痛を与えるなどの問題を有している。本研究では母乳育児と併用できる新しい哺乳瓶乳首のデザイン開発や母体に優しい搾乳機開発のために必要である「乳児の哺乳時における口腔機能を再現したモデル」を構築することを目指す。
