Outline of Research at the Start

市街地をコンパクト化し、利便性・快適性の高い歩行者中心のまちづくりを推進するために市街地の空地や道路を活用する社会実験が各地で実施されているが、地域に適したまちづくりを導くには社会実験の成果を正しく評価する必要がある。その際、実施した社会実験によるにぎわいのみを過大評価することがないよう、過度な混雑が生じていないか、社会実験が地域全体の回遊性を高める波及効果をもたらしているかといった点についても評価に含めるべきである。本研究では、市街地の空地や道路で社会実験を実施した時の人の流れを局所的、かつ広域的に調査、評価してまちづくり活動に役立てる方法を開発する。
