Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、場所のデザインや使い方が地域を越えて簡単にコピーされる現代社会において、場所や空間の均質化を回避し、持続可能な都市や地域の変容をもたらす開発を評価し調整するための指標として「地域性」という価値を検討するものである。
これまで地域性は、地域の地形風土や歴史文化の特徴に見出してきたが、これら人が認識できる地域の特徴は、固有の場所とそこでの人々の営みとの相互関係が積層することで表れる特性とみることができ、表れ方は時代とともに変化する。こうした地域の固有性を、地域環境の変化のダイナミズムにおける持続する価値ととらえて分析することにより、「地域性」を指標とする実践的計画論を提案する。
