本研究は,理論,数値計算,実験,海氷規模等の現地調査,など多角的な研究手法により,
氷海域での津波現象・防災に主眼を置きつつ,気候変動にともなう新たな災害問題にも共通する大量の氷片群(離散体)挙動の解析・予測ツール,構造物の粘り強さ・レジリエンス評価法等の開発を行い,氷海域の沿岸防災・減災に資する強力なツールを提供する
