Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、ダブルスポットピーニング（Double spot peening。以降、DSPとよぶ）による圧縮残留応力形成過程の解明と条件最適化に取り組む（すでに、予備実験によりスポット間隔1.5 mm近傍において顕著な圧縮残留応力付与を確認している）。本研究では、1年目にSCM440（クロム・モリブデン鋼）を用いたDSP条件の最適化、2年目に各種金属におけるDSP条件の最適化、3年目に圧縮残留応力形成過程の解明を試みる。DSPはシングルスポットピーニング（Single spot peening。以降、SSPとよぶ）と比べて処理時間の短縮化が期待できる。
