Outline of Research at the Start	粘膜ワクチンのキャリアとして乳酸菌の利用が注目されている。乳酸菌はこれまでの食経験から安全性が確認されており、乳酸菌による粘膜免疫の活性化はプロバイオティクスとして広く知られている。しかし、乳酸菌を用いた粘膜ワクチンの免疫活性能（アジュバント効果）は実用化するには十分ではない。そこで本研究では、アジュバント効果の向上を目指した新たな遺伝子組換え乳酸菌の開発を行う。
