Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では層状13族モノカルコゲナイド(GaS, GaSe, InSe, GaTe)の1単位層膜について、「表面」と「裏面」のカルコゲン元素が異なる「ヤヌス構造」の形成を試みる。基板上に剥離転写した単位層膜、あるいは分子線エピタキシー法で成長した単位層膜に対して、カルコゲン雰囲気下での加熱や、含カルコゲン溶液による処理といった、プラズマを利用しない柔和な処理法によるヤヌス化を試みる。
得られた層状ヤヌス化物について、さまざまな実験手法による構造／組成／物性解析を進め、新奇機能性を検証し、電気機械素子への応用についても検討を進める。
