Outline of Research at the Start	生物の二次代謝産物である天然物は、特異な構造と生物活性をもつ化合物の一群であり、生命科学や有機合成化学の飛躍的な発展を導いてきた。ペニシリンやストレプトマイシンに代表されるこうした化合物は医薬品や生化学試薬に利用され、人類の生活水準の向上に貢献してきた。このような背景のもと本研究では、伝統的な有機化学的手法に、近年発展の著しい情報科学技術（ビッグデータ、人工知能、機械学習）を組み合わせることで、有用な新規天然物を超効率的に発見することを目指す。
