Outline of Research at the Start	心房細動は一般的によく遭遇する不整脈であるが、手術後に初めて診断された心房細動は術後心房細動と呼ばれ、心臓血管外科手術後の20-50%に認められる。術後心房細動は手術後の脳梗塞の増加や入院期間延長につながる。申請者は心筋に直接付着する脂肪である心外膜脂肪に注目しており、これまでの研究で、心外膜脂肪から分泌されるSPARCL1が術後心房細動を抑制する可能性を示している。本研究はSPARCL1のもつ心筋保護的な作用をより明らかにすることである。さらに、SPARCL1を標的とした、術後心房細動抑制に寄与する新規治療薬の開発につなげることを最終目標とする。
