Outline of Research at the Start	高い水素生産能をもつ嫌気性超好熱性アーキアであるThermococcus属やPyrococcus属における基礎的・応用的研究をさらに発展させることを目的として、Thermococcus kodakarensisを用いて条件特異的発現プロモーターの開発を行う。大腸菌などではラクトースなどの化合物や培養温度変化などにより転写誘導がなされる実用的プロモーターが多数知られているが、この様なプロモーターは本菌やその類縁菌では存在していない。本研究を通じて、これらの生物を用いた研究を推進する上でのボトルネックが解消され、これらの菌種の実用性が著しく向上する。
