Outline of Research at the Start	申請者はこれまで、クラゲの大量発生を基礎研究の立場から理解し、新たなクラゲ抑制法開発の足掛かりを得るため、クラゲの変態現象の分子メカニズムを解明する研究を進めてきた。本研究では、ポリプからクラゲへの変態過程の分節形成に焦点を定め、それを制御する内在性の細胞間シグナル分子群を同定することを目的とする。まず、分節形成調節物質を探索し、その投与によって発現変動する遺伝子群をRNAseq解析により同定する。得られた分節形成関連遺伝子群から推定される細胞間シグナル分子の候補について組換えタンパク質を調製し、分節形成に関わる生理活性を確認する。
